Well, all seems nice and quiet on the Abandoned Gamesroom home front. Therefore, I might as well keep you updated on what we have been doing.

On top of our work schedule, we actually maintain a few different websites around the net. One of which is VGWalkthroughs.com which is a website dedicated to the MMORPG game called Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. If you are interested in MMORPG games, take a look at this Video that Faeran has put together, showing some game play of the new trial island, which is an entire island dedicated to people wanting to try out the game for free.

On top of that, we still come here and maintain this site. So, today we have added something special for you guys. If you are still reading this then you can go to the Quest For Glory 4 Page, because you can now download the CD version of this game there (remember to sign in to download).

From both of us here at the Abandoned Gamesroom, thanks for still supporting our site.

AGD Interactive has finally released the highly anticipated remake of the classic game Quest For Glory 2. It was released on August 24, 2008, and the game has definitely been worth the wait.

Don't delay and go to their website and download the game now! A link has also been added to our Quest For Glory 2 Page for easy access. Download the original (must be logged in to download) and compare it with the remake by AGDI. You know where I'll be for the next few weeks.

We are still here!

Hey guys, yes we are still here. We have gotten to the point where we feel comfortable with what we have here, so haven't had much of a reason to come and change things up in the last few months.

We feel that we are in a place where we can either leave the site as is, with a few minor updates, or start changing things up, for the pure purpose of having some fun. We are still undecided as to which direction we want to head in, but what we do know, is that the future holds some great things here at The Abandoned Gamesroom.

On a side note, we have added a download to the Disk version of Quest For Glory 4. As always, you will need to sign in to download.

Take Care Guys!

Vivindi Universal and LucasArts leave the ESA

I was actually watching tv when all of a sudden the news reporters snuck in a report about how LucasArts will not be renewing their membership in the ESA. Then I search the internet for more confirmation of this fact, and find out that not only LucasArts left the ESA, but Vivindi Universal also left a little earlier than LucasArts did.

Read Article Here

What does this mean exactly? Will this have any kind of impact to this site, considering most of our content is on old software that are owned by these two companies? To us, this news may be bitter sweet, as it doesn't really effect the direction our site is headed. We will still be an informational hub to these great games, archiving as much information as we can about them. We may have snuck a few game downloads along the way for people that have bothered to sign up to the forums, but all in all, we will continue to slowly add our avatars, our wallpapers, more trivia questions, and maybe even add a few more games while we are at it.

People might take this news the wrong way. Just because these companies have left the ESA, does not mean the companies have changed their views when it comes to abandonware gaming. They have not addressed this topic and therefore we can only assume that they have neither taken a step forward or back on this subject, but it sure does put a smile on my face, at least for a little while anyway.

It's getting warmer as spring spreads it's arms around the northern part of the world. What does this have to do with our site? Absolutely nothing! But you will notice one noticeable difference from our site today that you did not see yesterday.

What is this change you ask? Well the clue is in the update title. Shivers is now available for download. Like always, just make sure you are logged into our forums, or else you may miss the download link.
