Review

After valiantly thwarting the galactic conquest of the pukazoid army lead by Roger's formal arch rival Captain Quark, he begins the process of settling down with his fiancee Beatrice Spunkmeister. However Starcon, not too entirely happy with the mess and mass destruction our hero left in the process of saving the universe, brings Roger before a board of peers and formally gets relieved of his duty as both a captain and an officer. He once again dons his purple and grey jumpsuit as "Janitor First Class" aboard a research vessel. The game opens as Roger is about to enjoy some shore leave on the local $h*thole of Polysorbate 60. Roger, as well as his new companion Stellar, quickly find themselves in the center of grand conspiracy which involves framing, murder, and betrayal. From the outer regions of the cosmos, to the innerspace of the human body, Roger is on the case to clean up the filth which lies before him.

Taking more of a step sideways rather than forwards, Space quest six tends to have less obvious challenges, and more bizarre dialog. There is very little that the characters offer in advice to help you advance through the game, although objectives are made fairly clear. This game, much like "the Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff" was done entirely graphically (which means no pretty airbrush backgrounds or cutscenes). All in all it is very cartoony (like Kings Quest 7). A simple one cursor point and click environment with an action bar for "pick up", "taste", "talk", etc. The humor is very mature however. Although it does lack the space quest look we all fell in love with, it does retain its slapstick comedy and general parody of science fiction in general.

A good game by all means, but alas, one of the most challenging. Would definitely require the occasional spoiler hint. It is not the best chapter by far, but is definitely worth playing, especially if you are a Space Quest fan.
