Taken from old forums

1. Go through the install file and choose Soundblaster (even if it's already selected), make sure you click Accept these choices and exit the installer that way.

2. Try downloading VDM Sound, install that program. Right click the LSL7.BAT file and choose Run with VDMS. Click next and finish and see if the game runs.

3. If the game is still not running, then try to Re-install (you have to reinstall the game from the Setup.exe file you unzipped) the game into a certain directory. If your hard drive is the letter C: then you would install the game into c:\users\LSL7
After you install the game in there, then try to run the game in Dosbox. Change the CPU CYCLES to 16000 (I believe the control is CTRL + F12, you'll have to click over and over till you reach 16000). Then try to play the game in Dosbox.

ok, i've found a way to fix the problem. all you have to do is open the resource.cfg file and in the bottom, change the location of the folders. as simple as that! no need of extra programs. but you may have to change the compatibylity to windows 95, but i'm not sure.

To change CPU Cycles you need to Hold down CTRL and you keep pressing F12 until you get the number you want. The number is seen at the top of the Dosbox window.

You guys could use this installer to install this game on XP

This works just like the Gabriel Knight 1 installer, so it shouldn't be a problem.
